Method 1: Export/Import using WordPress Core functionality + Export Media with Selected Content plugin

- Navigate from the dashboard to Tools < Export
- Select Posts – defaults to all cats, authors, all statuses
- Check Export media with selected content https://gyazo.com/aa6f922aa891923a7cd053b9727fe0d9
- Click the Download Export button and save the export locally
- On the destination site, navigate to Tools < Import
- Choose WordPress (install/activate the WordPress Importer plugin if not already available)
- Import the previously downloaded export – check download and import file attachments
- Success! Posts should now be imported with featured images.
