Divi Build Standards

  • Familiarize yourself with the Theme Customizer and use it when applicable to change body, header, buttons, typography, etc
  • Use Global Modules when an element is expected to repeat across many pages instead of styling one module at a time
  • Accordions / Toggles – style these to match the website – do not leave as the default styling. Use Preset Styling if needed
  • If using the Divi Library – keep it organized in categories and easy to understand – delete any old/used/test items
  • If a Footer is complicated – use the Divi Theme Builder (Divi > Theme Builder) instead of a global section on each page
  • Use Divi Library shortcodes when needed, not custom html within Code Modules
  • When possible, try to keep all views (Desktop, tablet, mobile) in one section, instead of making duplicate sections per view
