Admin Labels

  • Admin Labels Video
  • In general, review modules admin labels to make sure they would make sense to an average person
  • Develop the habit to keep them updated with the content during revision rounds. If the content changes, change the module’s admin label.
  • When using shortcodes – change the admin label to say where to edit the form, map, etc. like “Form – to edit, go to Forms”
  • When using global modules – change the admin label to say where to edit, like “Global CTA (CAUTION this will update sitewide) – to edit, go to Divi, then Divi Library”
  • Disabled sections/rows/module – If you’re keeping them on the page, label them like “Old Layout – delete if not needed” OR delete them entirely OR save them to the Divi Library with a descriptive name like “About page – leadership – old 4 column layout – delete if not needed”
